My Favorite Dainty Pieces from Sequin

When it comes to accessorizing, less is more for me. Don’t get me wrong – I love bulky bling especially for big events, but for most looks, I feel that a gaudy necklace or a pair of loud earrings can sometimes overpower my outfit or makeup. Lucky for me, the trend from statement to subtle has been going strong for several seasons now and today I want to share with you my favorite dainty pieces that I got from Sequin*.

Known for unique pieces that embody contemporary chic with a romantic edge, Sequin is a design studio based in NYC (did I tell you already that I have a sweet spot in my heart for companies founded in NYC? 😉 ). When browsing through their website, I immediately got drawn to their Star Maps Collection. The collection features the twelve astrological signs with beautifully detailed interpretations of constellations and zodiac symbols. While I have never been a person who reads or believes (as a matter of fact) in horoscopes, I must say that I somehow identify with my zodiac, which is Scorpio. Well, I know what you’re thinking now. “What’s the first rule of trying to understand a Scorpio? Don’t.” Haha! I agree, it’s not the easiest sign… and it’s sometimes actually referred to as the darkest sign.. but to be honest, I find a lot of features that are often attributed to scorpios in me: I’m determined, intense (at times), passionate about achieving goals and I always feel the need to be in control (my hubby can attest to that 😉 ).

Nevertheless, I immediately fell in love with this beautiful Scorpio necklace that features the Scorpio Constellation charm. It’s made of 22K gold-plated brass with antique finish and crystal details. I paired it with a matching Scorpio cuff bracelet. Talking about power couple!

Since I think your accessories should be just as unique as you are, I also got a necklace with my initial on it. I absolutely adore its studded crystal accents.

Another great thing about wearing dainty jewelry? You can layer it. Simple jewelry can never be boring and you can mix and match to your heart’s content. That’s why I decided to wear these two necklaces together and I really loved this ensemble! Perfect for a day look in the city!
