Two Ways to Wear a Summer Dress: Casual vs Glam

Today I want to show you how you can get the most out of your wardrobe by styling your favorite summer dress in two different ways. This gives you a great opportunity to wear the same dress over and over again, but not look like it! It’s all about switching up a few accessories that will make your perfect piece work no matter what the occasion.

ONE DRESS, TWO WAYS

Style 1 – Casual Look

When I started commuting to New York on a daily basis, Adidas sneakers became my go-to shoes of choice for obvious reasons: they are so comfy and practical… and I can literally walk miles in them. So I decided to pair them up with this beautiful frill sleeve dress I received from StyleWe recently. I love the fit and style of this dress because it could be easily dressed up or down, depending on occasion. It has a loose fit so it’s perfect for summer and I really love the ruffle design. I actually got it in black as well. I decided to wore this dress with a casual leather jacket for an extra laidback-chic look (I wish I had a leather moto jacket though because it would be just perfect for this look. I will link a few ones below for inspiration 😉 ). I added this zip leather crossbody bag to complete the look.

Style 2 – Dinner Look

For a dinner look, I brought along strappy heels like these to throw on and I decided to style my hair into a low ponytail. The heels alone together with a classic hairstyle completely transformed the look, giving it a semiformal glam tone that’s appropriate for a date night or a more formal event. Plus, this elegant red color can surely catch everyone’s attention 😉
