If you’re in your 20s or early 30s chances are you probably don’t give a lot of thought to your skin or proper skin aging prevention. And why should you? You’re in a pretty little sweet spot: your skin is at your best, you no longer have teenage acne, your face no longer looks like that of a chubby child and you’re just simply blooming. But the truth is, it’s actually THE time to seriously start rethinking your skincare routine and give it a serious overhaul.
I get complements on my skin a lot but that’s because I really take skincare seriously and I always have. What many of us don’t realize is that starting as early as in mid 20s, the production of two important proteins in our body – collagen and elastin, which are responsible for skin’s firmness, suppleness and elasticity – begins to shrink. The two products that I tried from the line are Under Eye Tightening Gel and Firming Night Moisturizer. The first thing that I immediately noticed, aside from the cute packaging of course ;), is the texture of the products. They feel very luxurious and lightweight. The smell is also very pleasant and delicate – always a great sign for me since I can get put off by a product simply because of its smell.
The Under Eye Tightening Gel gives an instant fresh look to the eyes and helps prevent the appearance of puffiness and crows feet around the delicate eye area. I use it every morning and at night but I also like to apply it on top of my concealer throughout the day when I feel that my undereyes need some extra TLC. It just makes everything look so much better instantly.
The Firming Night Moisturizer has become my go to night cream now. What I really like about this cream is that it’s not too harsh but yet it still offers great benefits. Many times it happened to me that I tried an anti-aging product and I woke up with a reaction in the morning because the ingredients were too harsh for my skin. But because this cream is formulated specifically for younger skin, it does not irritate it. Instead, it provides great hydration that lasts throughout the night.
I know that everyone has a different philosophy when it comes to prevention and anti-aging.
