Thanksgiving is officially upon us. I’m usually a dress kinda gal for most official family dinners – because let’s be honest, as much as I love skinny jeans and a simple tee, they don’t look well at the festive table. So whether you are the Kim Kardashian of the family 😉 or whether you just want to look chic, I hope you will get inspired by what I plan to wear for this year’s Thanksgiving Dinner.
I got this gorgeous tie neck burgundy dress from Eliza J Dresses the other day and the minute I tried it on, I knew that it would be my best (and safest!) choice. I love it for a number of reasons:
- It’s absolutely holiday appropriate and not boring! It has a rich holiday color while the tied neckline adds a nice statement to the simple but elegant design.
- Its fit-and-flare style is easy to wear and transitions nicely from day to night. Plus, it’s very forgiving and can stretch with each helping of pie 😉
- Because it’s a sweater knit dress, I know I won’t get cold.
Pair your simple frock with the classic pumps like these or these and a nice clutch like this one, and you’re good to go!
